Couldn't it be a re-branded Kyosho ? Graupner had an Alpine A310 on a Fairlady chassis in the late 70's and the châssis was the Fairlady's

From the new pics on ebay seems a different chassis than of Grauper/kyosho. In every case i think you right about period (late 70's).

Nice find. Do you know the year this model was available in shops?
I've always been surprised how this french sport car, not so famous except in France, could interess japanese car lovers : You can even find it in a japan animed film called Evangelion. Kyosho also made an electric powered model with a A310 body, and now, i discover yours, by another japanese RC car builder i didn't know.

I'm sure you remember the blue car Misato Katsuragi drives in the first episode, when che meets Shinji Ikari : It's an Alpine A310, Four cylinder engine version. What on earth this strange exotic car is doing close to Tokyo3, so far from Dieppe factory?
Everything is a surprise source, in Japan. That's why i like this country, in addition to japanese RC models, of course!
